The project will work in 12 communes located in 6 provinces across the country:
Bubanza Province:
- Gihanga commune
- Bubanza commune
Bururi Province:
- Bururi commune
- Vyanda commune
- Rutovu commune
Karuzi Province:
- Bugenyuzi commune
- Buhiga commune
Ruyigi Province:
- Butezi commune
- Ruyigi commune
Rutana Province:
- Musongati commune
- Giharo commune
Kirundo Province:
- Kirundo commune
These communes are amongst the most vulnerable to climate change and are among the poorest in the country.
